Sea of Thieves Safer Seas Brings Private Servers

Sea of Thieves has launched Season 10, Safer Seas, one of the game’s most significant seasons. One of the most anticipated features is the arrival of Safer Seas, a new mode that allows players to enjoy the game on private servers.

Normally, players would have to play with others in a PvP-style game, and it causes a lot of trolling and griefing. The Safer Seas season changes that with its private servers. If you enter a private server, you and your crew will be the only ones sailing the seas. This offers a relaxed environment to learn the ropes, practice ship handling, and explore the world at your own pace. It essentially becomes a single-player game.

It doesn’t really end with private servers because Sea of Thieves Safer Seas is also a separate mode within the game. Instead of sailing in High Seas, where the usual PvP rules apply, Safer Seas is PvE only. While Safer Seas offers a more peaceful experience, there are some limitations compared to the High Seas. For example, you’ll earn Gold and Reputation at a reduced rate, and certain features like Emissary play and captained ships are unavailable. However, this is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes with knowing you’ll have the open seas to yourself.

The launch trailer of Safer Seas doesn’t really reveal much except that it’s finally here. I like to play MMO games as if they’re single-player games, so I know there are a lot of people like me who’d rather play the game at their own pace. Luckily, you can do that and still have access to the new Plunder Pass.

While some limitations exist, such as reduced gold and reputation gains and the absence of certain features, I believe the peace of mind and freedom offered by Safer Seas outweigh these drawbacks.
