How to Complete the Rocket in SteamWorld Build

Although the SteamWorld franchise has touched on many genres throughout the years, SteamWorld Build marks the first time that it has gone into the city-builder realm. However, what hasn’t changed is that there is always danger lurking about, and it is in the best interests of the player to get out as soon as possible.

For the steambots that are caught in this particular predicament of potentially being stuck on a dying planet, the only solution is to keep developing better tools and find long-lost technology, so that a rocket ship can be built as a way to freedom. For those who need help making this possible, this guide provides a detailed outline on how players can complete the rocket ship.

Completing the Rocket in SteamWorld Build

A city-building game like SteamWorld Build follows a general pattern of progression, and the way to achieve the goal of building the rocket is only possible as the endgame draws near. This requires players to not just go into the mines but to go all the way to the deepest level.

There will always be two rocket parts per level in the mines, and to reach them, players will have to expand their mining networks and use all the new technology to progress. This means making sure everyone above ground is happy and that new engineers, aristobots, and scientists are part of the population. Only by doing so will better mining tools become available, and important structures like bridges can be built to reach otherwise inaccessible rocket parts.

Each new level of the mines will bring increasing danger to the miners, surveyors, mechanics, and guards that are in charge, especially as there is a need to excavate the many blocks within the mines. This will unfortunately release hives of aggressive creatures lying dormant within the walls, as well as hives that periodically send out these bugs to do some damage.

Once those are cleared out, attention can be turned to the rocket parts, which require an increasing number of miners to excavate. At this point, the hives will become active, and an attack will be imminent. It is recommended to build guard quarters around the rocket parts so that the defenders can attend to the threats immediately. Having turrets will also be very helpful, allowing the miners to focus on their job.

Completing the Rocket in SteamWorld Build Jetshrooms

With all six rocket parts safely transported above ground, the job is not done yet. Now, there is a need to create rocket fuel, and that requires the building of a Rocket Fuel Processing Plant. Not only that, but it is likely that players will have to replace some of the Plastishrooms farms with Jetshrooms instead. Set all of that up properly, and it becomes a simple waiting game before the rocket is fueled up and the choice to blast off becomes available.
