Goblin Slayer Tactics JRPG Shows Off Charaters, Gameplay, and Reveals Ending Song

Today Bushiroad shared a new reveal about its upcoming tactics JRPG Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer – Nightmare Feast, inspired by the popular anime.

We get to see quite a bit of gameplay, including traps, dice rolls, and special techniques.

The trailer also asks the question that many are likely asking themselves, why is the protagonist an adventurer? The new heroine is a Guild Master, so it doesn’t make much sense at first sight in the world of the anime.

We also get the reveal of the theme song titled “Duetting Solo” and written and performed by the Japanese indie group Mili.

While the trailer is exclusively in Japanese, we already know that the game is coming in English this winter. The Steam listing doesn’t seem to indicate a difference in release date for the English version compared to the Japanese one, the official site still says only “Winter.”

Goblin Slayer: Another Adventurer – Nightmare Feast is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC on February 29, 2024. I’m not sure how well it’s going to do against Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but perhaps it won’t be so bad considering that they are on different platforms.

The game pairs the original beloved cast of the anime with a brand new party of characters including Guild Master, Blood Princess (a vampire), Squire, Polar Bear Priest, Conan (a novice rune soldier), and Lady of Principality.

The original cast is all voiced by their original anime’s voice actors and if you’d like to see more, you can check out the previous trailer, the first reveal, and more gameplay, alongside some more info on the mechanics.

If you’re unfamiliar with Goblin Slayer, it debuted as a dark fantasy light novel by Kumo Kagyu which debuted in 2016 and is still running. It then sparked the launch of multiple manga and anime series, with the second season of the anime currently ongoing.
