The Man Who Erased His Name is Getting an English Dub in a Free Update This Month

Developer Ryu Ga Gotoko Studio has announced a free update for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which will bring with it a fully voice acted English dub to the game. The update is slated to hit the game on all platforms in December.

Sadly, the studio hasn’t revealed more details about the cast for the update. We can, however, take a look at some of the casting decisions for Yakuza: Like a Dragon to get a hint at who will voice which character in the dub. For example, Kazuma Kiryu was voiced by Darryl Kurylo in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and it is likely that he will reprise the role in the new dub. Similarly, Matt Mercer will likely reprise the role of Goro Majima.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name was released back in November. The game picks up some time after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and tells the story of Kiryu’s escapades between the events of that game’s ending, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Kiryu is acting as an agent of the Daidoji Faction, and finds himself embroilled in the machinations of Homare Nishitani III.
