UK Boxed Sales Charts Feature Some Familiar Faces In First and Second Place

The latest UK boxed sales charts data has been released, and it tells a pretty familiar story for the week ending December 2nd.

Last week belonged to EA Sports FC 24, and that’s a position the soccer sim reclaims this week as well.

In second place is Hogwarts Legacy, which has essentially been dueling with EA Sports FC 24 since the wizarding open-world RPG claimed the top spot back in November.

Chaotic platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder is still sticking around in the charts.

Third place this week goes to Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which has climbed a single place since last week’s chart. You can do it, Mario!

In fourth, it’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and just to remind you, this game has had the highest player engagement across the entire new Modern Warfare trilogy, despite a somewhat mixed reception.

Fifth place goes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which was in sixth place last week, so it’s a good week for Nintendo games that want to climb the chart, it seems.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is in sixth place, as befits a game that has sold over 5 million units and that publisher Sony is referring to as a “big hit”.

Your third non-mover in the charts this week is Nintendo Switch Sports, which remains steadfastly in seventh place. Will it climb a little more as Christmas looms? Who can say?

Eighth place goes to Minecraft, and it seems this listing refers specifically to the boxed Switch version of the game rather than Minecraft as a whole.

In ninth place, it’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which could be picking up traction thanks to a completely reworked performance mode that debuted back in September. Admittedly, Survivor‘s chart performance could also just be down to the fact it’s a Star Wars game.

Finally, in tenth, it’s Mortal Kombat 1, the latest in the really quite spectacularly violent Mortal Kombat series.

Eleventh through fifteenth places read as follows: Assassin’s Creed MirageLego Star Wars: The Skywalker SagaSonic SuperstarsGrand Theft Auto V, and Cyberpunk 2077.
