Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has confirmed that GTA 6 will be playable on current-gen consoles at launch, including the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, their statement made no mention of the game’s compatibility with the PC, making it increasingly unlikely that a Windows port will be available on opening day.

Though the GTA 6 release date is still far off, and the list of compatible gaming systems could change before then, the holding company’s lengthy blog post already seems definitive after stating: “Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025.”

This is a developing story, and more information will follow soon.
