Destiny 2: Indebted Kindness God Rolls

The Indebted Kindness is one of the first rocket-launching Legendary sidearms in Destiny 2, and it can do some very special things in PvE. It may not have the blast radius of a real rocket launcher, but it packs a wicked punch that can take out priority targets with relative ease.

Hefnd’s Vengeance is the final boss encounter in Destiny 2’s Warlord’s Ruin dungeon. This guide breaks down how to defeat it.

With its high base damage values, Indebted Kindness can find success in any game mode. However, since its rockets have fairly slow travel speeds, this weapon shines best in PvE. Players can still take this pistol to Destiny 2’s PvP scene, but it’ll take a very special perk combo for this weapon to shine against other Guardians. Here are a few Indebted Kindness god rolls to look out for.

Best Indebted Kindness Rolls

Since the Rocket-Assisted Frame archetype is still fairly new, players can expect the meta rolls for such weapons to change over time. However, the Indebted Kindness has a few top-tier perks that could set the standard for future rocket pistols.

Here’s the full list of third and fourth column perks for this weapon:

  • Third Column: Beacon Rounds, Enlightened Action, Impulse Amplifier, Offhand Strike, Lead From Gold, Loose Change
  • Fourth Column: Adagio, Attrition Orbs, Deconstruct, Permeability, Surrounded, Voltshot

As far as PvE is concerned, the best roll for the Indebted Kindness is one with Lead From Gold and Voltshot. The former keeps the gun’s ammo reserves topped off while the latter greatly increases its AOE damage potential. It’s worth mentioning that the pistol can roll with Rocket Launcher Barrels and Magazine mods, which means perks like Quick Launch and High-Velocity Rounds are on the table.

Similar to a weapon with Explosive Payload, Indebted Kindness deals two instances of damage per trigger pull, which means it can trigger Voltshot’s chain lightning with just one hit. If enemies are close to each other, Voltshot and the splash damage from the explosion may be enough to take out all of them or, at the very least, heavily injure them. Meanwhile, Lead From Gold greatly increases the value of the Heavy Ammo Finder helmet mod by making it grant both Special and Heavy Ammo.

Unfortunately, this weapon is terribly difficult to use in PvP due to its slow projectiles. Players can remedy this to some degree by maxing out the gun’s Velocity via perks like Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and Impulse Amplifier with a Velocity Masterwork. The archetype-exclusive Beacon Rounds gives the weapon homing rockets after scoring a kill with it. However, given the gun’s poor ammo economy in the Crucible, getting enough bullets to actually take advantage of the perk can be a problem.

Players can get the Indebted Kindness pistol from any of the three Warlord’s Ruin dungeon encounters. The first boss is the easiest out of all three, making it the best place to farm for an Indebted Kindness god roll.
