7 Best Open-World Games For Underwater Exploration

Most open-world games allow players to explore across a wide variety of lands, but few try to expand upon the oceans and let players explore there.

Whether players are looking for a speed boost and quick dashes, an increase in weapon damage, or the ability to reduce the damage taken from fish, they can have it all by equipping themselves (and Dave) with these charms. These items make Dave’s journey much less dangerous.

Where to Find These Charms and How to Equip Them?

Each of these charms can be obtained by completing certain tasks, which are mainly main/sub-missions and Ecology Research tasks. There are a total of 10 charms in the game, six of which can be obtained through the main/sub-missions and the remaining four from Ecology Research.

As soon as players start playing and completing missions, they will find and collect these charms on their way. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the diver can only equip a maximum of two charms at a time. This means that players have to carefully consider all of a charm’s pros and cons in different situations.

Here is the list of the best charms players can find throughout the game, along with their effects and unlock conditions.

10 Octopus Weapon Charm

Complete “Octopus Returns”

Octopus Weapon Charm dropped by the Octopus

The Octopus Weapon Charm is perhaps one of the best combat charms that affects weapon damage by a noticeable margin. To acquire this charm, players need to complete the “Octopus Returns” quest in Chapter 2: Into the Deep which falls under the Sub Missions.

Once this charm is acquired, players can use it to increase their gun base damage by 15%. In the mission, Dave needs to chase the octopus by breaking down the planks using rocks. Once the octopus gets cornered and squeezes itself through a gap in the wall, it will leave behind this charm that can be attached to Dave’s gun.

9 Shark Teeth Necklace

Complete “Revenge Time!”

Shark Teeth Necklace in Revenge Time

This charm is made from the teeth of Great White Shark Klaus and adds 15% damage to the Harpoon gun, one of the best weapons in the game. It can be obtained by completing the “Revenge Time!” quest in Chapter 3 of the Sub Missions.

Dave the diver Into the Deep for Octopus Bracelet

In Chapter 2: Into the Deep under Sub-Missions, players can find the Octopus Bracelet that helps Dave dash a short distance. This can be pretty useful in combat but can only be obtained after chasing down that nasty red octopus.

Since it gives Dave an enormous ability, obtaining it will require players to reach Level 5 in Ecowatcher and collect a total of 640 points.
