Rockstar Revealed GTA 6 Trailer Date

Rockstar posted a tweet revealing the date of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. The trailer for GTA6 will be released on December 5, 2023, at 9am ET. We’ve got a countdown for the trailer that you can bookmark to stay up to date.

Nothing else was revealed for GTA 6 besides the tweet detailing the date a trailer would be revealed. However, we already learned a lot from the leaks a while ago. So this may be a trailer showing and confirming what we already know and what could have changed.

For those who don’t know, in September 2022, nearly an hour of Grand Theft Auto 6 footage leaked online. While Rockstar Games confirmed the footage as genuine, it also represented early development material, leaving many questions unanswered. However, the leak did reveal some exciting details about the upcoming title, which has fueled speculation and excitement.

One of the most significant revelations from the leak was the confirmation that GTA VI will be set in Vice City, a fictionalized Miami previously featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. A leaked clip showcasing a light rail car with “Vice City Metro” painted on the side solidified this speculation.

The leak also unveiled the game’s two playable protagonists, Lucia and Jason. While their ages and motivations remain unknown, the footage suggests they are young adults and possibly partners in crime. Some have said their relationship might resemble Bonnie and Clyde, but there’s no confirmation, even though that’s a great guess.

Despite the game’s Vice City setting, the leak confirmed it will not be a nostalgic trip to the past. The presence of smartphones and references to modern apps like LifeInvader and WhazUp place the game firmly in the present or recent past.

One intriguing clip showed a character crawling through a doorway and pushing a box aside. It sparked speculation that GTA V would feature expanded stealth mechanics, a huge departure from previous games. It’s definitely something to look for in the trailer.
