We’re The Opposite Of Salty About The Salt And Sacrifice Release – Gamezebo

Souls-like fans are eating well right now. We’ve had Lies Of P and Lords Of The Fallen make their debut recently, and the run’s not over. Salt And Sacrifice drops tomorrow and we’re once again out to face some terrifying monsters, explore crumbling Kingdoms, and die many times.. all on the 2D plane.

Salt And Sacrifice takes place in a realm in chaos, almost literally. The Mages have arrived, bringing with them magic and madness. You take on the role of an Inquisitor. If you think that sounds like high status, think again.

Purging Time

The Marked Inquisitors. Individuals condemned to hurl themselves into the meatgrinder of the Mages’ attack. They’re doomed. You’re doomed. Well, unless you can fight these monstrous spellcasters with skill, determination, and maybe a little help from your friends.

A huge world lies open before you, filled with twisted sorcerors whose bodies warped beyond comprehension. Killing them is how you survive. It also brings great rewards. Their corrupted flesh and bone makes new weapons that let you murder more efficiently.

Make Friends And Enemies

You don’t have to do this bloody work alone. Online multiplayer means others can help you through the hardships.. or show up to make your life even more miserable.

Salt And Sacrifice is the sequel to the 2016 Salt And Sanctuary. It’s a game you may have seen and thought ‘Hey, a 2D Dark Souls!’ You’re not far off the mark, but the game was a lot more than a knock-off. It had the bleak, oppressive, dark fantasy atmosphere and RPG mechanics of a Souls game, combined with the moment to moment gameplay of a Metroidvania.

The game was hard, addictive, and kept some fun lore all of its own. Now Salt And Sacrifice brings a new layer of visual and mechanical polish to the whole thing.
