Morrowind Fan Remake Skywind Reveals the Corprusarium in Skyrim’s Engine to Celebrate Halloween

The creators of Skywind, a massive mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with the goal of remaking The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind just revealed a new seasonal sneak peek.

To celebrate Halloween, they showcased one of the most terrifying locations within Morrowind, the Corpusarium, lovingly remade with new assets in Skyrim‘s engine.

We get to see the depths of the location and some of the monsters, on top of what I think may be Uupse Fyr.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Corpusarium, it’s a location where the dark elf sorcerer Divayth Fyr gathers victims of the Corpus Disease to try and find a cure by experimenting on them.

It’s certainly one of the creepiest and most terrifying locations of the game, and definitely appropriate for a teaser delivered on Halloween.

You can watch it below and see what I mean.

If you’re unfamiliar with Skywind, it’s a massive mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that has the lofty aim to completely translate the beloved classic RPG The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind into the engine of the most modern chapter of the series.

It has been in the works for several years and has shown significant progress, but it isn’t complete and a release window has never been publicly shared. Yet, it certainly looks impressive.

That being said, considering that The Elder Scrolls VI is still years away, this may actually manage to be delivered in the hands of the fans before its release and could serve as a good appetizer before we can return to Tamriel in a brand-new game.

Of course, those looking to explore the world can also count on The Elder Scrolls Online, but if you prefer single-player games, waiting for Skywind may be your best bet, at least for the time being.
