SuperGaming breaks the bank to put on a big show for the upcoming Indus Battle Royale

In what can only be described as a tremendous show of confidence, Pune-based SuperGaming has announced its first Esports Tournament for Indus Battle Royale. What makes this so noteworthy is the fact that Indus hasn’t even been released yet.

This is very much a case of SuperGaming putting money where its mouth is, with this tournament featuring a prize pool of 10,00,000 Rs. There will be teams of Indus content creators, community members, and winners of past playtests making up the stable for this event, plus a few specially invited teams.

Orangutan, Godlike Esports, Team 8bit, Global Esports, Enigma Gaming and Reckoning Esports have all had an invitation extended, so fans of any of these won’t want to miss out. The winner of this tournament will gain 5,00,000 with the next three places earning 2,50,000, 1,00,000 and 50,000, respectively. There will even be 1,00,000 going to the most valuable player, to encourage everyone to really bring their A-game.

To make sure this is a tournament to remember, the version in use will contain the entirety of the game’s map, Virlok. There will also be improved control options, design balances, and enhancements to the visuals and animations. It will serve as a way to continue building hype for release, and to show everyone the best that Indus has to offer.

When announcing this tournament, SuperGaming co-founder and CEO, Roby John, said: “We’re thankful for the community’s response to Indus. Since our last community playtest in our studio, we feel we’re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring India’s best teams. We’re grateful for their support in building India’s most ambitious battle royale to date.”

Indus Battle Royale is available to pre-register for now on Google Play, with the iOS registrations to follow soon. Signing up will give you a chance to get an Indus Closed Beta, so there’s a lot to gain from a single click.
