Should you kill or spare Fingers in the Cyberpunk 2.0 ‘The Space in Between’ quest?

When tackling “The Space in Between” quest in Cyberpunk 2077, you will have to interact with a shady Ripperdoc named Fingers. His underhanded and abusive actions and methods paint him as one of the most unlikeable and repulsive characters in the game, to the point where many players will wish to punch or outright kill him at the soonest possible opportunity. Before doing so, however, players will probably want to make sure that it won’t lead to any adverse consequences further down the line. So as of the 2.0 update, is it better for players to give Fingers a piece of their mind or spare him in Cyberpunk 2077?

What decision should you make?

Fortunately for many, from what I’ve read, punching or killing Fingers does not seem to come with any tangible downsides. Although you can purchase upgrades and gear from him if you choose not to confront him, he doesn’t sell you anything that you can’t buy from other Ripperdocs. So really, the only thing that could potentially disincentivize you from killing Fingers is your own personal code.

The game did not always make this decision quite so straightforward. Before the 2.0 update, Fingers possessed unique enhancements and gear that no other vendor in the game could offer. So if you ended up punching or killing him, you would have essentially locked yourself from accessing those potentially valuable upgrades for the rest of your playthrough. This undoubtedly frustrated players who would have liked nothing more than to teach him a lesson or two.

But thankfully, players don’t have to worry about these negative repercussions anymore. Cyberpunk fans online have unsurprisingly expressed delight over the fact that you can they can now give Fingers whatever fate they feel he deserves without penalty. Naturally, they have already shared accounts of the, to put it lightly, extrajudicial ways in which they have dealt with Fingers in their latest playthroughs.
