Titanium (designated as chemical element Ti) plays a significant role in crafting and modifying structures and items throughout the Settled Systems. Acting as more than just a simple transitional metal, Titanium is a highly sought-after material that every player should look for as they progress through the game.
In short, Titanium is necessary for a variety of crafting recipes, with Outpost establishment notably coming to mind. In addition to acquiring Aluminum, Iron, Tungsten, Uranium, and more, it’s important to know where you can get your hands on the metallic resource in question. This is feasible in more than one way. With this in mind, we’ll show you where you can get your hands on Titanium in Starfield, which is relatively easy to obtain once you know how to get around and where to look.
How to Get Titanium
Starfield players can acquire Titanium in a number of ways in Starfield, from purchasing the resource from vendors to harvesting nodes from planets, moons, and rocks. A few locations come to mind, with a couple of early spots to head to if you’re starting out at a lower skill level.
Titanium isn’t readily available everywhere in the Settled Systems, though the following locations are guaranteed grabs for the resource to save yourself some time and fuel power:
- Charybdis V (Charybdis system)
- Guniibuu VI-e (Guniibuu system, one of the moons of Guniibuu VI)
- Pluto (Sol system)
- Procyon II (Procyon A system)
- Titan (Sol system, one of the moons of Saturn)
As we mentioned before, it’s possible to buy Titanium from vendors across the Settled Systems. Your best bet is to pay a visit to any one of the major cities in Starfield. There are several that you can choose from, so it all comes down to your personal preference and convenience.
Keep an eye open for the Trade Authority vendors, for whom you can also sell contraband if you have any in your inventory. If you need a quick reference for some of these spots to head to, here are a few to keep in mind:
- Akila City
- Cydonia
- Neon
- New Atlantis
- The Den
Furthermore, you may occasionally come across merchants in settlements, as well as the on-the-go traveling vendors that you can encounter in space. All you need to do is interact with them to see what they have in stock. Granted, this isn’t a guaranteed route, but it’s always worth a shot, even if it means checking out to see what else they have in store for you to additional purchase.
Expert Tip
In the case that you are attempting to travel with stolen goods, stick with The Den to safely secure your illegal transport. The Den is located in the Wolf system, acting as a star station that orbits the planet Chthonia. Authority scans are absent here, so you won’t need to worry about having a new fine being placed on your head. Moreover, Chthonia houses Aluminum, Beryllium, and Helium-3 if you’re looking for these resources.
Of course, if you have the Commerce skill, then buying from vendors shouldn’t be a burden for you. The Commerce skill is under the Social tree under the Novice tier. It goes without saying that attaining the Social skill here is a good one to obtain early on in the game.
How to Farm Titanium
Now, if you’re attempting to stock up on Titanium, there are two promising methods that you can rely on: utilizing an Extractor and waiting around for a vendor’s shop to respawn.
Using an Extractor requires a power source that is operational within an Outpost. For each unique Outpost that you establish, the Extractors category in Build Mode will alter depending on what resources are available to you to harvest.
The other option is relatively easy to commit to. It’s all a matter of passing along time in Starfield. This is accomplished by either sitting around in a seat or sleeping in a bed, though we prefer the latter to attain the XP boost for being well-rested. A full 24-hour period is required for a shop to properly respawn its inventory and credits.
