Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – How to Cast Spells

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action role-playing game in which players will get to take part in the chaotic Three Kingdoms Era. As players go through the main story and build up their characters, they will get to level up their character as well as learn different elemental spells. Spells can be used to deal different element damage to the enemies and give you advantage to do a Fatal Blow.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to cast spells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Unlock Spells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

In order to cast the Spells, players will have to unlock them first. Spells are only unlocked by leveling up your character in a certain virtue. There are 5 different virtues and each leveling up in each virtue will give you a spell point for the certain virtue. Meaning, if you level up your character in Fire Virtue, you will gain a spell point that can be consumed on a fire virtue path to get a fire spell.

The spells paths can be seen in the Wizardry Spells option when you rest at the raised Battle Flag. Accessing this option will show you two options,  Learn Wizardry Spells or Set Wizardry Spells. Select the Learn Wizardry Spells option to see all five virtues and their spells pathways.

You will see multiple Spell Pathways in a single virtue but you can only have access to a single pathway and it is your decision which will you choose. You can only unlock the spells that are in the pathway and all the way up to the top spell with the spell points. So, if you want the top spell, you will have to gain number of spell points by levelling up your character in that virtue.

Casting Spells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Once you have unlocked the spells by using the Spell Points, you will have to set them in the Spell Diamond before you get to use them. You cannot use the spells without placing them in the Spell Diamond. Follow the following spells to place the spells.

• Rest at the battle flag and select the Wizardry Spells option.
• Now, select the Set Wizardry Spells.
• You need to select the Spell Diamond spot and then you will see all the spells you have currently unlocked.
• Select the ones you want to place in the Spell Diamond.

After placing the spells, the spells will start showing on the bottom right of the screen. To cast the spells, you will have to press the RT on the controller and then the designated button. You can cast the spells on the Keyboard by pressing the 1,2,3, and 4.

Spells also work a bit similar to your Martial Arts because they consume the Spirit Gauge as well when you cast them. So, you can cast them only a number of times in the fight because you do not want your posture to be break during the fight. Spells also requires a certain Morale Rank for casting. As an example, you can cast “Unstoppable Force” spell when you are at Morale Rank 7 or higher. So, you will have to gain the Morale Rank in each mission before you get to use the specific spells on the enemies and bosses.
