FC St. Gallen has been waiting for its next victory for almost six weeks. The record in the Championship and European Cup is four losses and four draws. Two games this week at our own stadium show that a series like this is also a mental issue. The 2-1 lead against Winterthur (2:2) on Wednesday lasted five minutes, while against Sion St. Gallen stopped play after leading 1-0 and scored in Chard Chadrac Akolo quickly equalized the score a quarter of an hour later with a goal.

From the home team's perspective, the 1:1 match was unfortunate. The ball hit Mihajlo Stevanovic's arm in his own penalty area, but was also pulled far into the air. The Serbian was substituted only a short time ago, partly because head coach Enrico Masson recognized his team needed new impetus after the 1-0 win. The plan understandably went awry and Ali Kabalman scored safely from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.

If the best performance of the game is three points, they will go to FCSG. The eastern Swiss side once again received great support from the crowd after Kevin Csoboth picked up the ball deep in the Sitten half, with Lukas Görtler and Akolo Together they rewritten the score to 1-0. Jobos came on for the injured Felix Mambimbi just seven minutes later.

In this unremarkable game, the home fans provided several highlights. In addition to the guests, the 17,000 spectators were all dressed in green or white. This, combined with the dance involving all four stands, created a wonderful picture before the game. An hour later, the FCSG appendix followed up again, with paper rolls flying.

FCSG fans are excited about the dance.

St Gallen's next chance of victory comes on Thursday in the conference league away to Northern Ireland from Larne, while Sion are winless in nine Super League games and face Lucerne at home next Sunday.
